About this project
The problem
Fitness apps ask for a lot of configuration before they give you anything useful. The prototype tested how much of that setup could be deferred or removed entirely without losing the plan quality.
My role
Product and engineering. User flows, the component library, and the frontend architecture underneath it.
What I shipped
- Designed an onboarding flow that gets a user to their first workout with far less setup than the apps it was compared against.
- Built a reusable component library that later became the starting point for how I structure interfaces in other projects.
- Scaffolded JWT authentication with role-based access so admin and member views could diverge safely.

Summary
An early-stage fitness and personal development platform covering programs, progress tracking, and community features. The repository is private while the product is still in development.
The problem
Fitness apps front-load configuration. Before they give you anything useful they want your goals, your equipment, your schedule, and your measurements, and a lot of people quit during setup rather than during training. The prototype tested how much of that could be deferred or dropped entirely without the resulting plan getting worse.
What is implemented
- Authentication and authorization with JWT and role-based access, so admin and member views can diverge safely
- Programs, progress tracking, goals, and notifications
- Real-time messaging and group chats over Socket.io
- An admin panel, with English and Turkish language support
What came out of it
The component library built here became the starting point for how I structure interfaces in later projects. Getting the reusable pieces right once, then reaching for them repeatedly, is most of what makes a small team ship quickly.
Tech
React on the frontend, Node.js and Express on the backend, MongoDB with Mongoose, Socket.io, Tailwind, and Docker.
